Alex Cochrane outlines the motivation behind the Birmingham City move.
Alex Cochrane, a left-back, is Birmingham City’s seventh summer acquisition.
Alex Cochrane claims that the lofty goals of Birmingham City lured him away from Hearts.
The left-back Cochrane signed a four-year contract at St Andrew’s to become the Blues’ seventh summer addition. After spending three years in Scotland, the 24-year-old returned to English football after being convinced to follow his dreams by Chris Davies and Craig Gardner.
When asked why he joined Blues, Cochrane responded, “The ambition of the club and, from speaking to people involved, what they want to achieve this season and where they see the club going.” “As a young player, I aim to achieve my maximum potential in football.”
Prior to things moving further over the weekend, Cochrane was initially made aware of Blues’ interest while at Hearts’ pre-season headquarters in Spain last week.
“My agent sent me a message while I was away on pre-season in Tenerife,” Cochrane continued. After talking to my partner and getting our approval, I had a brief conversation with the manager and Craig Gardner, and after that, it was sold really quickly.
“I wanted to be involved with the club right on, and the conversations were honest about where they saw it headed. The club has support and has lofty goals.
