Before his first season in charge, the new Hibs manager announces an ambitious ambition.

Easter Road’s former glories should return, according to a Hampden hero.

After taking over as manager, Scottish Cup-winning Hibs captain David Gray has made winning trophies his top priority. Additionally, he claims that Easter Road’s goal of winning a trophy AND qualifying for Europe each season is “realistic.”

With two games left in the previous season, Gray temporarily replaced Nick Montgomery. Today at East Mains, he and new sporting director Malky Mackay had their first official press conference. Additionally, the former captain asserts that expanding the trophy collection is a top objective. He is best known for having scored the game-winning goal in the 2016 Scottish Cup final, which broke Hibs’ 114-year curse.

The new head coach stated, “There are demands there from the start when you are at this football club.” The chance to attempt winning a trophy is also available; it appears at the beginning of each season.
