BREAKING NEWS: Hull City closing in on double transfer swoop to give Tim Walter much-needed boost

Hull City are on the cusp of making two much-needed signings in what will be a major boost to Tim Walter’s pre-season plans ahead of the new season.

The Tigers, who expect to lose both Jaden Philogene and Jacob Greaves in the coming days to Ipswich Town, are expecting to complete permanent deals for a right-back and striker, to help bolster the German’s squad.

Both with Championship experience, the pair, it’s hoped, will be signed in time to join the flight out of Humberside Airport on Wednesday morning, with club bosses trying to push both through respective deals in time to make that early morning flight.

There is, however, a possibility either or both deals could roll on later into the week and see the duo link up with Walter’s squad in Turkey, at the home of the Turkish Football Federation in Riva.

City play their first friendly of the summer at Riva on Saturday with a second game to follow towards the end of the trip just before the Tigers fly back to England for their opening domestic fixture against Doncaster Rovers on July 23.
