Daniel Farke is open to signing another midfielder at Leeds United.
Brahima Diarra is a free agent after leaving Huddersfield Town earlier this summer. Former Leeds United midfielder Carlton Palmer thinks the midfielder would be a great addition at Elland Road for almost nothing.
After playing out his contract at Huddersfield in the hopes of moving, Diarra is currently without a club. The Terriers were recently relegated to League One. The 21-year-old was reportedly given new terms at John Smith’s Stadium, but he was cut off from the team’s ultimately futile struggle for survival after expressing his wish to go on.
Reports have named Leeds as one of several suitors, but there is stiff competition with Leicester City, Burnley and Hull City also interested in the dynamic midfielder. Whoever wins the race for Diarra will have to pay training compensation to Huddersfield but Palmer believes it would be worth the fee for Farke’s side to land the ‘exciting’ young talent.
