In the gold medal match at the Olympics in Paris, Djokovic defeated Alcaraz in straight sets with his best performance of the 2024 season.
The 37-year-old won his first Olympic gold medal at his sixth Games with his triumph on Court Philippe-Chatrier at Stade Roland Garros.
With his Olympic victory, the Serbian has now won every major title in men’s tennis, and he possesses most of the main records in the sport.
In addition to holding the record for the most Grand Slam victories, Masters 1000 victories, and ATP Finals victories, Djokovic has held the top spot in the global rankings for the most weeks and the most ATP year-end rankings.
