Fans were eager to see the 25-year-old’s 4.32-second 40-yard sprint time placed on display, so expectations for him did not decrease going into 2023.
But that’s scarcely what took place. Austin was held in check the entire second season, finishing with just 17 catches for 180 yards and one touchdown (a 72-yard touchdown in Week 3 being the exception).
Entering his third season in the league, he sees this as his opportunity to finally break through.
“Oh sure, without a doubt. It exists,” remarked Austin. “I try to get better every day. I’m sure that if I follow through with that, everything else will fall into place.
