Goalsneak inks new contract with Paul Curtis

Paul Curtis of North Melbourne is the most recent Roo to have his contract extended.

Paul Curtis of North Melbourne has inked a three-year contract extension that will keep him playing for the royal blue and white until at least the end of 2028.

Curtis, a dynamic small forward, was selected with pick No. 35 in the 2021 AFL Draft by the Western Jets.

Since then, the 21-year-old has made 56 appearances and kicked 55 goals, including a career-high 27 from the first 20 games of 2024.

Among the highlights was his thrilling comeback against the Western Bulldogs in Round 16, which led to his third nomination for NAB AFL Goal of the Year in two seasons.

Curtis was already signed on for 2025 but elected to extend his contract by a further three years.

North Melbourne head of football talent Brady Rawlings said the club was excited to have another key young player extend their time at Arden Street.

“We’re excited to have Paul at North Melbourne until the end of 2028,” Rawlings said.

“Paul has had his most consistent season to date, featuring in every game and bringing plenty of X-factor to our forward line.

“We can’t wait to see where he can take his game over the next few years.”

Curtis is the third Roo to recommit to the club over the past fortnight, joining Cam Zurhaar and Jackson Archer, and the ninth overall this season.

We're celebrating our members in Round 22 as we take on the Eagles in our final home game for 2024!
