Tennis legend Steffi Graf broke down in tears during a heartbreaking interview, admitting her innocence and sharing the overwhelming demands and difficulties she had as a young athlete. The 22-time Grand Slam champion talked on how tough it was to navigate her early career and how she trusted her father, Peter Graf, to handle her money and professional choices.

“What was I supposed to do when I was 15, 16, or 17, besides trust my father?” Steffi said, her voice trembling with emotion. “At that age, you believe your parents have your best interests at heart. I was focused on my training and matches, and I had no idea about the complexities of financial management or the business side of my career.”

“I was just a teenager thrust into the spotlight, trying to balance my education, training, and the expectations of becoming a top athlete,” Steffi explained. “My father handled everything, and I trusted him completely. It was devastating to learn about the financial mismanagement and the legal issues that followed.”
