“Sunday offers Wimbledon fans a chance to watch some entertaining football and give money back into the Club that they love.”
The words of our Women’s first-team manager Kevin Foster come at a time when our fanbase has shown its strength once again. Thousands of pounds have been donated in aid of helping our Cherry Red Records Stadium pitch recover from recent flooding. It’s a prime example of the spirit of Wimbledon that every football fan has come to know.
With this in mind it feels like the perfect time to push even more support behind our successful Women’s team. The upcoming game on Sunday against Chesham United offers our fans a chance to come together at Raynes Park Vale’s Grand Drive at a time when things have been testing for the Club.
As Kevin explains, the increased support would not only help to provide our Women’s side with extra motivation but also help to improve the overall matchday experience and contribute vital funds following the team’s promotion last season as champions.
Here our Women’s manager also discusses stepping up a league, the key to getting recruitment right, his experiences of cricket coaching and how he previously worked with Men’s first-team striker Josh Kelly.
