According to Mail on Sunday, Leeds United is interested in signing Michael Lang on a free transfer.

On August 18, the newspaper said that the Whites may sign the former international player from Switzerland for nothing.

Before the August 30 transfer deadline, Daniel Farke’s team “expressed an interest” in signing the 33-year-old, who Basel released at the end of the season.

Michael Lang could be a potential acquisition for Leeds United
Leeds has lost center midfield and right back cover after losing Archie Gray earlier in the transfer window.

It’s safe to argue that replacing the child with Lang would be going from one extreme to the other in terms of age.

The 33-year-old, who scored the game-winning goal against Manchester City in 2018 [transfermarkt], would give the Elland Road team more Champions League experience.

The former Basel man also has 31 caps for Switzerland which proves the level of players the Whites could get their hands on.

Although this won’t be a move to excite fans necessarily, the full-back could prove to be a useful member in the dressing room at Elland Road.

To be able to bring in an international player with experience at the top level could be smart from Farke although attacking reinforcements should be a more pressing matter right now.
