Once more, Reed Sheppard dominating the NBA Summer League.

The reason Reed Sheppard was selected third overall in this year’s NBA Draft class is still evident to the world.

Sheppard scored 22 points on 9/15 shooting, pulled down six rebounds, dished out seven assists, and stole five steals in his second NBA Summer League game, helping the Houston Rockets defeat the Washington Wizards 109-91.

In his NBA debut on Friday, Sheppard finished with 23 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three blocks.

Sheppard has a good chance of winning Summer League MVP if he keeps up his fantastic stats.

With back-to-back outstanding performances, Sheppard may be a contender for Rookie of the Year come NBA season. Only one player from Kentucky has ever won the title, Karl-Anthony Towns in the 2015–16 campaign.

Sheppard will be a name that many will remember in the near future if he can carry over his success from the Summer League into his rookie season.

On Monday at 6:15 PM ET, Sheppard and the Rockets will resume their NBATV game against the Detroit Pistons.
