LONG-STANDING INTEREST FROM LIVERPOOL
Liverpool’s interest in Rodrygo is not new; it dates back several years. Elano, a former Manchester City player and Rodrygo’s manager at Santos, disclosed that Liverpool had shown strong interest in the young talent early in his career.
However, Real Madrid’s offer was more attractive at the time, leading to Rodrygo’s move to the Spanish capital in June 2019.
If now is the time for the Brazilian to make a move to the Premier League, Liverpool will be eager to secure his services to strengthen their attacking options, especially given the uncertainty surrounding the long-term futures of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.
