We previously reported on Turkish media sources indicating Brighton & Hove Albion is intensifying their efforts to sign Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu.

Today, Yagiz Sabuncuoglu provides an update on the most recent events pertaining to Brighton and Kadıoğlu. The highly connected Turkish journalist reports that in an attempt to finalize a deal for the 24-year-old, the English side has met with Kadıoğlu’s agent.
Once more, it’s said that the Seagulls have made Fenerbahce an offer to buy the left back for €35 million plus add-ons this summer.
Nonetheless, there have been reports in Turkey today indicating Fenerbahce wants to retain onto Kadıoğlu and is attempting to sign him to a five-year contract.
In spite of this, he has reportedly expressed interest in moving to England during this transfer window, with many Premier League teams expressing interest.
The purpose of the new renewal claims could be to strengthen the negotiation position.
During the previous season, Kadıoğlu made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce and scored 3 goals. His deal with the Yellow Canaries expires in June 2026.
