Clubs in the Premier League and Italy’s Serie A are monitoring Leeds United fringe star Wilfried Gnonto ahead of the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The 20-year-old is struggling to break into the plans of Whites boss Daniel Farke as his side chase down Leicester and Ipswich at the top of the Championship.
Gnonto was one of several Whites stars who went on strike following relegation in a bid to secure a move in the summer – but was eventually reintegrated into Farke’s squad.
But the Italy international has started just one of the last 10 league games and has registered just one assist in that time.
He has managed just one goal and one assist in 16 appearances across all competitions this term.
Gnonto has already been capped 13 times at senior level by Italy, scoring one, but recently dropped back down to the Azzurri’s Under-21 side for their European Championship qualifying campaign.
